Residential Electrical Services

Residential Electrical Services

The full catalogue — every service KC Smart Services performs, grouped by where in the home it lives. Small repairs, major upgrades, and complete installations from one contractor.

Interior Electrical

Inside the walls, behind the outlets, at the panel.

Interior electrical work is what keeps a home safe, functional, and quiet. New wiring during a renovation, a stubborn breaker that keeps tripping, a fan installed the way it should have been installed the first time. We do the full range — small repair to whole-home rewire — and we do it clean.

  • New electrical wiring and rewiring
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Switch and outlet installation
  • GFCI and AFCI protection
  • Dedicated electrical circuits
  • Ceiling fan installation
  • Appliance and equipment connections
  • Electrical upgrades for renovations
  • Electrical safety inspections

Exterior Electrical

Outdoors, weather-resistant, code-correct.

Outdoor electrical work faces sun, rain, freeze-thaw and lawn equipment. It has to be done differently than interior work — different materials, different boxes, different bonding. We do all exterior electrical to the outdoor standard, which is not "interior work with a plastic cover."

All exterior work uses weather-resistant materials rated for outdoor exposure. Any receptacle installed outdoors is GFCI-protected per the current NEC.

Panels & Service Upgrades

Your electrical panel is the heart of your home's electrical system.

Whether a homeowner needs a panel evaluation, a service upgrade to accommodate an EV or heat pump, or a straight breaker replacement, this is a category we do every week. Panel age, current amperage, and planned electrification all bear on the recommendation — the qualification page walks through the questions in about two minutes.

  • Panel troubleshooting
  • Surge-protection solutions

Considering a panel upgrade? Panel age, current amperage, and planned electrification (EV charger, heat pump, electric range) all bear on the recommendation — the qualification page walks through it in 2 minutes.
