How the qualification decides what to suggest
Our qualification does not claim access to any homeowner's utility records, tax records, or program-administrator systems. It reads six categories against the answers you provided and returns one of four verdicts per category: Likely worth evaluating, Possibly applicable, Needs an on-site assessment to say, or Unlikely to apply based on what you told us.
- Service & panel capacity — driven by service size, panel age, planned EV / heat-pump / electric heat, and known-recalled panel brands. Older services (60A / 100A) paired with any electrification signal skew Likely.
- Whole-home surge protection — bundled with any panel work; recommended for modern services with active smart-device use.
- GFCI / AFCI safety remediation — driven by current protection coverage, legacy wiring, and vintage. Older homes with partial coverage skew Likely.
- High-efficiency lighting conversion — driven by stated interest and home age. Newer builds skew Unlikely because they typically ship LED.
- Smart-home controls — driven by wishlist, current devices, and interest. Wish-list drives Likely.
- Electrification readiness (EV, heat pump, induction) — driven by EV intent, current fuel, primary goal. Oil / propane heat + efficiency goal skews Likely.
Every verdict is auditable — the answer that produced it. No dollar amounts, no named programs, no "you qualify" language, ever.
